Default Agree, disagree?

LR & RR's are going for style more then what they are known for? (offroading capabilities)
Over the years i see their commercials when they show owners offroading, now there are shows of how smooth they run and bla blah blah. Now my question is to you, do you think LR's and RR's are now going for looks rather then offroad capabilities?

I thing so. But I beleive it has been coming for a while now. Granted I don't like it but I think Rover had to do something to contect to a broader market. I do like the new industrial design of the LR3 but the tone of it voice is different and not offroad. But as a whole famaily of cars they connect and I think looking at the ID side of things that I very important to Rover. But thats my two cents.

I think they should of sticked with the offroad look rather then the show.

I was wondering, who owns LR now? is it ford or is it BMW?

the style is important for the market the vehickes are aimed at. The range rover was always about style. Though the new range rover, LR3 are very capable off road, and still leaders in the field. The sport is more of a compromise, but still way way better than the competition.

The other factor for the change of style is safety, and trying to make the vehicles comply with safety requirements around the world. The Defender will have to cease production in the near future for no reason other than it does not comply with safety requires regarding hitting pedestrians.

If Land Rover is going for style, they really crapped out with this LR3. It's pretty bad when a Toyota truck has a better commercial than a Land Rover. Look at me!I can drive over a perfectly flat surface! What's next? a Land Rover Mini Van? The company is now owned by morons....Ford!
