Hi Dane, where did you get that case/trunk where the seat normally goes. The reason I ask is I have a 7 seater with rear A/C and I've removed the drivers side seat because it intrudes into the load space too much due to the A/C and I'm considering taking out the opposite seat 'cos it's a pain and a waste of space but a useful load box like your's would be a great replacement.

For blowing up the LR tires away from home I use a really cheapo combined compressor/lamp that I've toted around for 20 years or more in the trunk of various cars. The only problem is it takes an eternity to inflate a 255 50 R19 tire by 10-15lbs. I also use a garage twin cylinder compressor at home with 150 litre tank or on some occasions a diving bottle. CO2 and N2 are great for inflating tires as well as they are less susceptible to heat changes.

That is what I did, except I went a step further...

Didn't do a fitting like the interior one in the ECR photo, but you can open the storage lid and put the hose directly to the compressor.

Used an ARB HD air compressor, they now sell one that's even faster, which I am really jealous of!

The compressor also runs my air lockers.

Great port location behind the fuel door... Clever.
I've heard that the A/C pumps on Discos make a pretty great air compressor when combined with a small tank. I think enough to even run many air tools. Of coarse you sacrifice the A/C.

If you don't have ace I have seen the Ausies mod a York A/C compressor and place it where the Ace pump would have been.

I also like this idea. Just carry around some paintball co2 canisters.

Does the OEM Air Suspension pump put out enough volume to inflate these large tires?

I've also been curious about fitting a compressor in the ACE pump location. I looked at fitting another A/C compressor there but it's too long. I'll check out the York specs, although isn't the York a piston pump? I think in any case a belt driven compressor is the way to go.

The York is what most people use for the compressor...maybe not on a D2 but for other vehicles. Just do a google search for A/C compressor conversion and you will get the idea.
