alarm question
I went to the neighborhood pool today and left my front windows rolled down about 2" for ventilation. while I was at the pool I heard an alarm going off, but by the time I got to the parking lot it had stopped. My alarm light was blinking fast. There was a slight breeze, can the wind make the alarm to go off by causing a pressure change in the cabin? BTW not certain the alarm going off was mine, but this is the second time this has happened with the windows cracked.
factory alarm should only go off if the door, hood, rear hatch are opened or if the ignition is turned on. This is of course as long as everything is working as it should, a bad door trigger could trip open with a nice gust of wind if it hits just right.
mike, thanks. I thought that was what caused it. One more question, if you lock the door with the key and not the fob does it not enable the alarm? If I lock the door with the fob and leave the dog inside she sets off the alarm, but if I lock it with the key she doesn't set it off.
