Does anyone happen to know if the alarm spyder controls both door lock and alarm functions?

The alarm,alarm light and door locks quit the same time my start problem (turns over/no fire) cropped up.96 DI Manual121k

All problems started around the time of my water leak (factory windshield) by the right A pillar (think), and top center.

Every once in a while I have symptoms very common to the "spider" problems I read about on the forum. So, I am going to bypass that and see if it works...
