Default Alignment Problems...

I just had my tires changed today, and opted for the 4-wheel drive thrust alignment service. When I picked up my Disco, the technician notified me that the "total toe adjuster" was frozen/stuck and couldn't be moved. He said there was also some rust around the area, and I might possibly need a part. He recommended that I take it to a local shop, and let them give it a try. I'm not really sure what he's talking about, has anyone else had this issue?

to start with, on this car, that 'thrust alignment' is a waste of money, all thats adjustable is front toe. which means if they didnt set that, they did nothing. however, hes talking about either your tie rod or your drag link. steering is very simple on that car, one rod goes from steering box to rf wheel, and another from rf wheel to lf wheel. there are adjustments on both. the adjust ment on the rear bar, the one from wheel to wheel, is for your toe, the other one if for the steering wheel. take it somewhere else, a good front end guy can usually take care of it, there are ways around frozen adjuster.
