Alignment problems
Hi all. I am in the middle of a deal for a 2002 Disco. I was promised the vehicle today but got a phone call about 3pm saying that they were having problems gettng the adjusters in the right spot for a proper alignment. Is / should an alignment on the Disco be a problem for a good mechanic? Before the deal closes, they are doing some of the repairs that were requested as an out of province inspection. The tie rod was loose in turn affected the alignment. I am a little concerned that I am missing or overlooking something. The inspection report was good other than the tie rod issue. I guess I am looking to put my mind a rest more than anything. You know, the buyers remorse thing.
Thanks for any advice

Sounds like they don't know what they are doing. All you have is a toe adjustment on a Rover, takes all of 15 minutes. Before you sign the final papers, I would take it to a alignment shop and have it checked, I am thinking there is more wrong then they are letting you know.
When you drove the truck, did you notice any problems with the steering?

Thanks Mike. All is good. Alignment and steering are fixed. They were having problems with a sticking adjuster. I now have a 02 Disco sitting in the driveway
I am sure I will frequent this forum for awhile until I get used to the Disco. No plans for any mods just yet, but who knows what the future holds.
