Looking at a 130 amp by either AC Delco or PURE ENERGY both remans

Richard, I am glad you made it home without the truck stalling. I could not take off right behind you as we were dealing with Deb's truck. Her oil cooler line came lose as was leaking even more oil. I tried to raise you a few times on the ham to get a status check.... then realized you must have turned your electrical stuff off.
You can also use the P38 Alternators @ 150 amp instead of 130 amp.

@acg @Best4x4 Good news my spare that was in a bucket works great, 14.6 volts on startup cold. still need a new one as this was just a used spare.
Andrew got to Husky just before Mission when the voltage got too low, parked and called BCAA. Drove onto the tow truck and drove drove off so that was nice.

Any downsides to using a P38 alt? Just added (but probably not much?) power drag on the engine I'm guessing?
@Brandon318 no extra drag of any note. The upped amperage helps if you run a lot of stuff internally for example my radio (on high power transmit) and all my USB stuff combined pulls about 25 amps max. Even upping to a 130 disco alt can help, but price wise there is very little difference so it can not hurt.
Scratch & dent part for a good deal: https://www.roversnorth.com/parts/pl..._cracked_cover
I bought a 130 amp alternator from AB recently, turned out to be a Terrafirma part.

If your alt just quit charging, you can replace the voltage reg with a kit for around 25 bucks. FYI
