Mark-take your old alternator into Zeeland, there is a starter/alt rebuild shop on the corner of Washington and Cherry? St.
It is a small shop, he also has over stocked car batteries.
If you coming in on Chicago Drive and turn west onto Washington Ave, when you come to the Mobil station he is right next door on the corner, small shop, store front faces west.
If you come to Marv's Car Lot you went to far.

Let us know how much he wants to rebuild one.

Just an FYI , I would strongly recommend that you not spray any water into the engine compartment unless the tensioner idler pulley, alternator and the airpump if fitted are all covered. Use a plasctic shopping bag
These parts do not have bearings that are sealed against water and in short order the alternator, tensioner and airpump bearings will soon fail.
Though they ( bearings)all do have sealed edges , and are usually greased at the factory. water and dry grease usually make rust BTDT.
If you do get water onto these parts best to spray the bearing areas with WD40 then a thicker oil after the WD40 has has some time to work.

Best bet is to use compressed air while the truck is outside stay away from the shafts of the components
