Default Aluminum radiator?

So my top hose keeps coming off the radiator because the ridge around the tube broke off. It was a cheap radiator to begin with. I noticed an all aluminum radiator on eBay for $230 by Arrow Tuning. Anybody used one of these or have any comments about an all aluminum radiator? Link is here:

3 ROW LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SERIES 1 & 2/ RANGE ROVER 86-94 ALUMINUM RADIATOR | eBay

Thanks,
Jamie

Jamie, that looks great. I saw all ebay radiator from china which could be damaged upon shipping. Since this one is from here, I guess thats a good replacement than the ones with plastic. Though all my radiator are still original, I looked for aluminum for replacement in the future.

I've looked at those several times but they don't seem to have a pre-cut hole for the factory temperature sensor. If you are running a secondary temp sensor then I guess it's not big deal.

Not sure if your 01 is different from my 04 in that regard but double check everything that you have going into your current radiator before you drop the coin on that particular model.

Though it looks solid enough to make me want one!!

On my 01, I'm pretty sure the temp sensor is near the intake on top of the engine and not on the radiator. I'll double check when I get home.

The Nissens one is fine and similarly priced.

I bought the Nissens one earlier this year and got it for not much over $100 and it installed perfectly and is performing just fine.

However, there is something about this all aluminum beast that just looks solid. So I can see the appeal.

Whatever route you choose, I think a new radiator and hoses is pretty much mandatory on any of the disco's at this point in time due to age. You just can't go wrong keeping these things running cool.

i bought mine with a nissens in it. Its comparable to factory aluminum rads that most vehicles have now but i wouldn't call it quality. status quo definitely but not an upgrade.

super thin flimsy pieces. if/when mine needs to be replaced ill be shopping for something stouter and preferably thicker.

If you are running sufficient OAT anti-freeze with anti-corrosion properties there shouldn't be any issues with alloy parts.

OAT=dexcool (at least that's how I see it). No, I am certainly NOT running dexcool. I use Peak long life.

I sent a note to the seller of the radiator in my first post to ask if it fits the D2. The picture he has up there is for a D1 and won't fit a D2. I'm guessing it will only be for the D1. Will update.

Didn't the D1 come with a heavier all metal radiator stock?
