Aluminum skin
Its always a source pride if you will, the aluminum skin of a rover. A nice novelty topic to start a conversation with a fellow car enthusiast.
They would go "really aluminum body?" Then I would just go on about the history of the "mighty rover" as my daughter calls it.
This morning I saw a spot at the bottom of the A pillar which looks like rust. I know that the roof is made of steel and the rest is aluminum.
Which part of the rover body is not made of aluminum? Also are the current LR models still made of aluminum or are they already made of galvanized steel.

On a DI all skins are aluminum, the roof is steel.
The body "cage" is steel.
Basically...the parts that you see are aluminum.
Makes it much eaiser to go affroading and not worry about scrathes because they wont rust.
