One of the two factory radio wires to the new radio, the other factory wire needs to go to ground C0096-2 and C0096-3. Connect the grey with red strip to the key 1, connect the grey with black stripe to ground. Do you have one of the plug and play adapters?

I don’t think this will work with the factory Nav head units will it? When I changed out my head unit, there was a controller under it for the steering wheel controls. When I talked to Crutchfield kinda at length about it, this is why I couldn’t do steering wheel controls.

I did get one of their programmable units for one of my Harmon Kardon equipped D2s in years past, but the Nav unit apparently makes it not possible and I think the wiring is different.

There is a module they use to interface with the steering wheel controls but everything from that module to the steering wheel is the same, so all you need to do is bypass that module. Same color wires as in my previous post.
