Put in BG44k and filled it up...we will see what happens.

Finally got the oil pressure tested..Although he did not test it while cold so the readings are only hot.
8@ idle
40@2k
Thoughts?

8psi at idle is to low, the oil light comes on at or below 8psi.

yes. drop the oil pan and check the oil intake screen.

That's way too low at idle, sure it will cause it to tick and be noisy.

In the shop getting the pump changed out. Hope this fixes the ticking issue.....

Front cover is being replaced as well as the timing chain water pump and a new belt. Anything else you guys can think of while he has the front apart?
