Default Antifreeze question OH NO !

Which antifreeze should I use for my 2002 D2?
I need to top it up and it looks like there’s dark colour in there right now. I cannot tell if it’s red orange pink Thanks in advance for your help

If you don’t know what’s in there now, drain, flush with water, and repeat a couple of times. Then refill with regular green Prestone, 50/50. If it’s dark, it should be replaced, regardless of the type.

it had a flush done last year. Less then 8000 miles ago. That’s why I am trying to avoid a full flush if I can.
The previous owner gave me the work order from the mechanic. It says they use premium Prestone European antifreeze with Corgard. But the problem is all the Prestone coolers that I know are green in colour none are dark. So I am guessing they may have made an error on the invoice

Prestone markets three coolants labeled European. Teal, violet, and pink. See link above.

wow you are right I have never seen that being sold anywhere. I’m guessing then it’s the pink that’s in there right now

However I have looked everywhere and I cannot find this Prestone European anti-freeze pink colour my only hope is to find the phone number of the mechanic that did the flash last year and see where he got it from I guess

In the event I cannot find. Can I use another colour OAT coolant to top it off.

BMW coolant from the dealer. It's about $25/gallon and is developed for aluminum engine components.

I can't hardly think of an engine out there today which does not have aluminum somewhere in the cooling system. Prestone Green will work & it's available nearly everywhere.
