Default Any Thoughts on Aux Fan manual switch?

I am a big temperature guy, and I always want my stuff running colder than the stock temperature. I was thinking about installing a manual switch inline with the automatic system, so I can manual switch on and off the fan and still retain the stock fan control. Any thoughts from you guys?

I wouldn't wire that like that.

I would run a relay.

relay, fuse, load-sensing timer so it turns off when the engine isn't running. at the very least.
or do an inline thermostat mod, drop in a 180, and switch to an electric fan setup. all are well documented on this forum, and all seem to be very effective.

I ran power off a relay in parallel with a switch on the dash. The intent was to provide some extra cooling while in the trails. I have the 180 stat and the aux fan only made a couple of degrees difference.

Sorry to steal this thread but does anyone have any good resources for learning basic electronics that can help with wiring in things like LED bars, switches, etc...

Thanks!
