Default Anybody in the Austin TX area have a scan tool that can read my Tres Amigos codes??

I have the Tres Amigos on a 2003 D2. Wondering if anyone in the Austin / Cedar Park, TX area might have a scan tool that can read my error codes to see if it is shuttle valve related or Wheel speed sensor related. Hate to just start throwing parts at it.

Brian in Cedar Park, TX (Austin area)

I'd say swing by Austin Roverworks between the airport and Bastrop. They've got an Autologic Scanner and they're very good guys. Ken Parker is the man to see over there.

What he said. Great guy. I drove down from Killeen to have him reset my ECU to fix a high idle. Shops in my area wanted $80+ for over an hour of labor. He had it reset in 5 minutes for no charge. Even spent a few extra minutes trying to reset the SRS.

Plus, he's got some awesome projects that are fun to look at

Yep Ken is a GREAT guy and he's like my big brother! I've known him since I was 15 back when my mom had an 89 RRC and he worked at LR San Antonio. He has some awesome Defenders always around his shop. He is always there to help anyone with LR issues.

I took a trip up there 3 weeks ago and his friend Billy looked over my newly acquired 06 LR3 HSE. Great guys with a ton of knowledge!

Worst case scenario, the Option B fix is about $10 and an hour and a half. It's not a hard job by any means, mainly you just need to fashion the cut-off allen key to fit in a small socket, slid under a lifted up ECU. After that a quick vasectomy of the green/yellow wire, ground the black to chassis and button her back up.

I am so glad I did mine. (The rover that is)

But yea Ken at Austin Roverworks s a badass. He gave me so much free advise I paid him to do work I could've done easily myself after he diagnosed my rover

Just saw this posting while looking for a writeup on replacing the ABS shuttle valve.

Wife and I have been living in London, just moved back to the country of Texas over Christmas.

I have a CReader that does all the basics for my son's '04 D2.

Ping me with a private message if you ever need it.
