just curious. i used to love wheeling my XJ and cruising with no doors. of course nothing too hardcore

 

Aren't there very few electronics in XJ doors?
I feel like electronics would be the biggest that stopping you from taking the door off a Disco...
That and it just wouldn't look right IMO. But hey... if you end up doing it, please take pics!

 

You might cause alarm issues when you go to arm it. Especially because your door locks will not engage and cause the system to freak out and not arm. It is possible... probably. Feasible, probably not lol.

 

why would you arm the alarm on a truck with no doors?

I think it would be fine with the doors off as long as you didn't accidently hit the lock button..if you did be prepared to disconnect battery quickly.

 

I took my doors off of my disco I and was driving around town and the jack*** of cops we have gave me a ticket for not having proper safety equipment. Because i had no side mirrors.

 

just mount a driver side mirror, doesn't even have to be functional

 

I had a Wrangler I took the doors off of in 3 minutes. The windows on the Disco are impressive enough for me. I feel confident that I could jump through from one side to the other with out touching anything with the windows rolled down. It would be much cooler if you could fab up some offroad doors. So do that and take pics.

 

im gonna look at the electronics and check out the door pins and stuff and hopefully do it. even if its the front 2 doors. i think it would be cool.
