Default Anybody interested in a group buy of paper back RAVE manuals?

I'm looking at getting the RAVE manual printed for myself. I know this should be posted in the group buy section, but I thought more interested parties would see it here.

A single print is going to cost about $123 each. Five prints will bring that down to $90 each and ten prints will bring it down to $57 each. These are full letter size with heavy duty gloss covers. That's before shipping and it's about as cheap as they get no matter how many more copies than that you get. I was thinking $67 each to cover shipping charges if I can get 10 or more people who want them. Less than that and we'll figure out the price. Just post below if you're interested and we'll figure it out. If my math is correct, the book will be approximately 3" thick. I considered printing in three volumes but that would nearly triple the price.

I'm going to continue searching to see if I can get it printed cheaper than that.

Someone posted a while back that they had a kinko's print the RAVE and full cost was ~$50.

Food for thought.

I'd be 'in', but I'm broke as hell right now.

I'll check that out for sure. Cheaper is always better!

Why?

I LOVE having it on my laptop and on my phone as a PDF. I should probably put it on my wife's iPad too. I love being able to search the PDF and with it on my phone it's always with me. And if I want or need a page or two or three or whatever for a job I print only what I need. Or I can print out a few pages and scribble notes on them and then file them in a binder.

What am I missing?

I understand that, and it's great for speed! I just have never done as well with a computer screen. I love having the actual book in my hand. Plus, I'm going to try to read the thing cover to cover and having the actual book would be nice for that.

I am a fan of printed manuals because you can take notes in the margin and improve the index to make searches easy. Personally, I find it far easier to study a book than a cell phone or tablet, especially with filthy hands.

And also you don't have to worry about batteries.

I bet you could print it 2 pages per side (4 RAVE pages per piece of paper) and it'd still be perfectly usable but half the cost.
