i recently got a recipe for stuffed quail gumbo... where instead of usual seafood or chicken you use quail stuffed with like shrimp jambalaya and whatever else you little heart desires thrown in for good measure... quality stuff there...

Well, we call it hell. But tecnically, it is known as Harlingen Texas. Waaaaaay down on the southern tip about 40 miles west of South Padre Island. Not a lot of culture here, but at least we can get fresh seafood.

Ahhhh, I did a good bit of my growing up in Houston. Spent a lot of time at Galveston. How'd he come through the storm?

 

they did alright... he doesnt live on the island just about 15 miles from it... his house lost some shingles but thats it... he's in the coast guard though so he was on his boat on base through the whole storm... he said it was pretty crazy...
