Default Anyone have adisco without sunroofs?

Is it desirable to have one with sunroofs? Does it make the body more sound?

I have a 1999 without the sunroofs - I deal with less wind noise and most important - no leaks!

The strength of the roof is actually stronger with the sun roofs from the factory because of the extra bracing that was installed.
They don't leak air or water as the other person asl long as you keep them lubed and clean, just like any other sun roof.

I have '99 w/o sunroofs. with sunroofs is definately stronger roof, and with regular care sunroof probably won't leak.

Yeah I was just pressure washing my sunroof-less Disco on Friday and the pressure of the spray made the roof bow when I was washing the roof.

I don't have any sunroofs. I don't have a headliner either....

I need to get some of that body adhesive too. It sounds like I am going through a tornado when I go through a car wash because the sheet metal on the roof has separated from the cross bars. I have lined most of it with the cheap sound deadening material, but it is still loud as heck without the headliner. (I need to get to OKC bad)

I have a 98 disco with sun roofs. They work great as long as you follow DiscoMike's rule of keeping them clean. If you don't the windows will stick when you go to open them. I do not have any leaks, and I like to have them open when the weather permits.
I really don't have any major noise through the windows or the roof.

I dont have sunroofs either and that roof sounds flimsy as it pops up and down depending on road conditions, I have never looked under the headliner but in this thread I noticed that someone said their roof seperated from a crossbar? like some adhesive from the factory came loose? I may tear that thing down this weekend and check it out! Thx!

i dont have sunroofs either... i would like to, but i dont, i have a 97 disco XD, but i do have a cool roof rack that adds structural stability, i'm adding a steel "floor" to it soon, i'm gonna use some heavy duty fence like material we have here at work leftover from a job we did a while back, i will post some pics once i am done...

I have sunroofs. I dont open them but I like the sun shining in, better yet when it is a full moon and the moon light shines in.
I have to either close the sun shade or wear a hat when it is bright and sunny though. Damn skin cancer.
