Default Anyone running treadwright 285-65-18?

My original tire order is back ordered so I decided to check out the treadwrights. The warden & guard dog comes in a 285-65-18, anyone here running them?

Thoughts?

just bought kedge grip guard dogs in 285/75/16's... but theyre not in yet

the reviews ive seen are that they arent the greatest tire, but for the money, are unbeatable hands down. most said they are fit a good gap between a dedicated mudder/offroad and a high end all terrain.

I have 3 friend that run the 285' guard dogs on their D2 with 3" OME lifts and they love them, one has regeared to 4:11's the other two haven't yet. The mileage loose is around 3.5 plus MPG and you loose a lot of low end torque.
You will need to change out your diffs, cause Rovers diffs with 2 spider gears won't hold up to semi-hard wheeling.

I read your notes about that in another thread. It looks like I should just wait for the smaller good years to ome back into stock. I was looking at the GY MT/R in a 275-65-18 high was out of stock, the other option is the GY Dura in 275-65-18 or 265-70-17.

That looks like good fit. Do you have any rubbing?

Nope. It's about as perfect a fit I could get. I could run 285/65/18 but I would need trim the front bumper a bit, and then that's even more fuel loss and strain on your diffs.

Mud Terrains will be a bigger tire though in 275/65/18. Bigger than all terrains.

Glad to hear all these good reports about them. When I got my disco II about 5 months ago I was thinking of grabbing some of these, but I ended up finding some 275/70/18 ATs used with 70% tread left for only $200 installed plus spare. so I couldn't pass that up, but when these wear down I will definitely grab some treadwrights, though maybe putting them on 16" wheels instead.
