Default Anyone using Toyo Proxes S/T?

Looking for new all-season tires for the 03 Disco... The Goodyear's are horrible, so I'm not going to get those again...

Tire Rack has the Bridgestone Dueler's ranked at the top... I was in the LR dealership the other day too, and those were the tires on the new Range Rover sports... The Continental's were on the LR3's...

I run Toyos on my BMW, and have been very impressed with them. They were half the price of the top-ranked Michelin's on tirerack, but for 1/2 the price...

I'm not sure where these particular Toyos rank thank, as all the feedback on the ones I used on the bimmer, were from BMW magazines, that only listed their performance tires...

So, anyone used the Toyos on their Disco? Experiences?

Thanks!

Mike,
How did u find the traction with the Bridgestone's? The tread does not look nearly as aggressive as the stock Goodyears...

Yes, I'm using Toyo Open Country A/T's. And love them so far. We've had a lot of snow lately and nothing can stop my Disco.
Mine are 255/65/R16's. Here is a picture:

I just bought those and mounted them last week... We've had no snow yet but it's been raining like crazy, they've got a 5/5 rating in the rain based on tire rack, def more stable on the highway in heavy rain, WAY better than my pirelli scorpion A/Ts drive quality too... Looking forward to some snow though.

I am using the Toyo's on my 03 Disco HSE, have the 18" rims and they have been great, I live in Seattle and we have been getting lots of snow, ice, rain and these tires have performed excellent.

Are you using the Open Country or the Proxes S/T. Those are 2 very different tires.

Oh must have been some other rating system.. I priced them out online and bought them from a local place... Look them up though, they have a good ratings and really good feedback on those tire rating sites...

I'm I've got a Proxes S/Ts. They are great on road, quiet, grippy. I do get a lot of flat tires though, and I certainly don't recommend them for offroad. Minor stuff is OK, but sand, mud or even gravel and the TC is ALWAYS on. I got my disco stuck in only about 3-4 inches of sand with those things. I hope that helps.
