My wife recently got into a fender bender (her fault) and the need for a new bumper came up. After the shop did their insurance quote, I opted for the upcharge and went for the ARB bumper. ARB messed up and sent a D90 bumper in a DII box. D'oh!

Luckily I live west of Seattle and it was a ferry run for ARB to collect the D90 bumper and drop off the DII bumper--wOOt! The guy from ARB told the body shop that this was the last DII bumper they had in stock and that it would be at least 45-days until they got any more in.

So... I'd guess that means that mounting kits, if not on the shelf, are 45-days or more away as well. Still, for $500, try a custom mount or wait until the slow boat from Oz pulls in.

Now I've just gotta figure out what fog lamps fit well in the pre-cut rectangular holes in the front of the bumper. My first guess is some Micro FFs like this would work as better than OE replacements and tuck in there: My Hella Lights :: Micro FF Halogen Series . But I've got to do some measurements. Eventually I plan on some macho driving lights (and a winch!), but I'd like to get a replacement to the daily driver fogs that I just lost.

I got mine free as well and it is the 99-02 model, No issues at all mounting it. 2 months after install I hit a patch of ice the size of a football field... luckily there was a tree the size of Montana close by to stop me... and hour later I was back on my way with a big Ol smilly face on the truck. Had I not had my FREE ARB bumber I would have needed a flatbed, along with a new front end. quick call to ARB new mounting Hardware and about an hour of labor all better..

Those holes are supposed to be for turn signals. Did your bumper not come with them?

Kinda what he said.
The OEM bumper has side marker lights on the sides, those get moved to the front of the ARB.

Look at the side corner of this OEM bumper.

Now look at the front of the ARB.

Mine came with them. But it is the 03-04 style.

EDIT: I just went out to the garage to look at my 99. No lights to move either. So I'm guessing all of the D2 ARB should come with them.

To the left and right of where the roller fairlead will go are two openings--what for? At first I thought this was for fog lights. But today, not so much. AND... I noticed that the body shop didn't move the headlight sprayers over. I don't know that I need them, but come on, why not?

Anywho, I think that some Hella 550 fogs would work well in front of the grill using the OE dash mounted switch now. That's really too high for fogs, but I doubt the OE wiring is set-up for more than ~55w and the switch is set to auto-off when the brights are engaged. So, if I want to repurpose the overkill 1000FFs DLs on my WRX to the LR, then I'll have to run some wiring and mount a switch--not something I really want to do on the wife's DD and my more-and-more-so 4-wheeler. Anyone know if it's easy to swap the hi/lo cut-off and what the wiring's rated for?

Anyway: DII (obviously) with 1.5" OME medium duty lift, 265/75/16 Dunlop Maxx MTs (a genuine snowflake-marked mud tire?! Yup! Great all around mild mudders!). Gotta get the CDL shifter in there one of these days too. Never ending, eh? Oh... And a winch! I'm leaning towards a Warn value series because it'd be an occassional use winch and I don't need the burliest most awesome ever winch.
