Default ARB Vs Detriot Lockers?

Hey guys, Ive been looking at adding a few thing's to my 1998 Land Rover discovery I and one of the things ive been thinking is a Locker...But im not sure what would be the best choice...

Detriot True Trac?
Classic Detriot lockers?
ARB Air lockers?

Id only be able to throw in one... With only one does it still make a big difference?

And would it be more beneficial in the Front Or the rear?

Well, ive been around cars my whole life...Ive been wheeling for less then a year...I want to do trails, Like for The rally i want to make sure ive got the capabilities for some high trail rated runs, Like 6-7's im looking at these modifications.

2" STD OME RTE lift
ARB snorkel
A Fabricated rear bumper from RTE
BF goodrich, All terrain TA K/Os

Now i just gotta decide if a locker would be beneficial...

A Detroit or an ARB will also require HD axles where the T.T. won't. If only installing one for now, always start with the rear

OME lift is a good call, as is the snorkel. Any reason you want to do rear bumper instead of front? I feel like the front is more beneficial because it's so easy to improve the approach angle on a Disco drastically, but the departure angle is pretty much where it stays.

Also depending on the terrain you'll be on you might want to do a m/t tire instead of an all terrain, they offer a much more aggressive tread.

As for your locker, I'll be going with a detroit in the rear and a true track up front, HD shafts in both. It's expensive, but it's also a bullet proof setup that offers pretty much the most traction I could get.

I also run the rear Detroit and a front T.T. with Hd axles and 4:11's it regain some low end power after stepping up to a 265.

That's the exact setup I plan to run Mike. Any recommendations on axle shafts and gears?

So if i choose to run T.T. in the back and Detriot in the front... I would need New Axles? and Driveshafts? How much would all this cost? and if i need new driveshafts...Could i lift it 3" and Get that setup and have a driveshaft that works for the lift and the Locker.

You have it back wards. You can run a Detroit in the rear but not the front. If you run a rear Detroit, yes, you'll need HD axles.
