Default Arcan Floor Jack for Lifted Discovery

My old harbor freight jack finally died after a few years. My only complaint is I ran into issues where it just didn't have enough lift height! Unfortunately I can't remember how high it would lift.

So, I am looking for a new jack, but the 3 to 4 ton jacks I have found all lift under 20", Which might be enough. You can get one that goes over 20", but I'm not spending $500+

Then I ran across this at Northern Tool.

Arcan Quick Rise Extra-Long Professional Service Jack XL2T — 2 Ton Capacity, Model# XL2T | Floor Jacks| Northern Tool + Equipment

24" lift is nice, but its only 2 Tons. I know our trucks are only about 4800 pounds fully loaded, but will 2 Tons really be heavy duty enough to lift the truck one end at a time to get on stands without pushing its limits?

And to be completely transparent, I like the fact that is low profile so it will go under my Bimmer!

4x4 or 4x6 wooden blocks are your best friend. It's jack stands that you really need taller versions.

haha, yep, using the blocks for years. Just figured to "upgrade" a little while I getting a new one.

Already got the tall 3 ton jack stands.

I've also been eyeballing these

probably not an issue with that being steel, but i tried an aluminum 2 ton from HD freight and the weight of the truck broke the saddle on the jack.

I've been using a craftsman 2.5 ton for 12 years on all my different rovers with no issues.
