Arm rest adujustment- too high?
So I found an old thread here and from another forum, but nothing really definitive. My armrests (front seats) don’t seem to adjust down as far as they should. The adjusters are screwed all the way tight and I know the drill on keeping the tension off to adjust.
I am an ape, but don’t have the seat reclined a ridiculous amount either. I pulled off the passenger one yesterday thinking it was installed wrong or the like, but ca’t see anything. I’m positive it should go down further as they did in my last 2 D2s.
Any ideas?

No, that is the correct setting. They limit the down travel so the armrest does not activate the seat adjustment buttons. You can mod it if you want. There is a couple of retaining rings (red) on the travel screw that can be popped off to allow more travel. I have made a slit in the leather on the under side, dremel a slot in the plastic, and then pop the rings off. You can feel the front wall in green by feeling the leather on the bottom, make the slit just inside that. The rear retainer is right at the width change transition (yellow), make the slit there. Glue the leather back down and you will never notice it.
