Default Armrest Removal

I must be losing it, because what looked like the easiest thing in the world to do in the shop manual had me about to bring out the sawz-all. I'm trying to remove the drivers arm rest so i can fold the 60% part of the back seat down, it hits the arm rest since I'm tall and sit all the way back. I remove the cap and remove the bolt, but not matter how hard i pull on the dang thing it refuses to come out. Is there a special process to getting these armrests to release from the pin their rotating on? Thanks.

Don't use the sawzall! It should slide off the splines with a little persuasion and persistence.

Dang it. Have no idea why it won't come off. I'm 6'4" and 250lbs and I can't pull the sucker off to save my life.
