Rock Auto has the Felpro Gasket Kit for 139.00. I noticed on the HG's it appears they added some extra sealant protection around the cooling paths which I noticed in the pic.

Never had any problems with their stuff in the past on other vehicles I've owned. Might try it vs the AB HG Kit.

We have 7 sets of ARP's currently in stock, Forum member price on them is $120/delivered.

FWIW, when rebuilding our trucks as well as customers, we used the ARP studs with Elring HG's ($36/pair) The rest of the gaskets needed are less than $60 together.

Hey guys, got my heads back from the shop and put them on the truck today but I have a quick question for those who have used the ARP Studs. Land Rover has you tighten the head bolts to 15lbs and do two 90 degree turns, ARP says to use the manufactures recommended tighten order up to 100lbs.

So how should I actually tighten these up?

Is the whole thing true that bolts have a greater chance of cracking the block into the water jacket vs studs? I'm considering doing the studs instead, though I have a set of new BRITPART bolts

Best head gasket kit ? - Land Rover and Range Rover Forums

This guy brings up the same old point of TTY bolts versus studs, briefly, but are the experienced LR techs going to STUDS these days? I like his idea of using Teflon tape to lube TTY threads vs oil which will reverse its way up the threads and inbetween the block/gasket barrier, thereby preventing a good seal. Can someone comment on this as well as the stud Vs TTY bolts? I'm doing mine in 2 weeks and plan to do this only once. If it works out I will have a set of reman'ed heads, Elring gasket and TTY bolts. There was also the statement about checking the actual torque vs the angle/degree method as the shorter bolts meet the spec but the longer bolts are left with 25% less torque which is +\- 55 ft.lb vs the 75+ ft.lb on the shorter bolts.
