Default atlantic british rebuilt engine program

I'm sure everyone who is on thier mail list have already seen this, but for those of you that do not deal with AB here is the link.

Coming Soon to Atlantic British - New Engine Rebuild Program - Call For Details!

I dont think they have exactly rolled it out yet, but it could be a good option for a lot of people depending where the prices are.

I saw that... I'm interested to see what's included, and cost of course. Mine was already done but I have a few friends with DIIs.

The good news is that it would come from a trusted source. I love my Disco and I will keep driving it until dies a few times before I ever get rid of it.

Yeah I seen it to when I flipped through the pages of my catalog, I was shocked to see this engine program and those power steering boxes! Can't believe they sell them! I wonder if there will be a core charge for the engine program though? And if not I wonder if the total price for a rebuilt engine plus shipping will exceed $3000? Says you can call them for more information so I'm thinking I might do that just for the hell of it.

If it's past a certain amount of $$ I'll just try to do a TD5 swap

It's Atlantic British, no thanks.

Not to mention I'm sure they'll think it's a bargain at some ridiculous price, such as $20,000 for the rebuilt engine.

They do inspections once a year, but if you know a guy...

who knows a guy...

who can get you a sticker, it's all good.

My Volvo constantly has the CEL on for the intake/ non existant cat, inspection was not an issue!

Probably. Most of the parts places have ridiculous prices on things like that. I know they used to sell engines a while back... and unless I'm remembering wrong they were like $5000 or something silly for a short block.

Like most companies, they are out to turn as big as a profit as they can and I don't hold anything against them for this, heck its business. This won't fly with most of us on this site though.

I called last month asking if they knew what the part number was for the A/C condenser fan motor? Of course they didn't know or want anyone else to know but would have loved to sell me the assembly for $400.00. I bought the motor for 60$ and they work as good as new.

I also called an indy shop in the Chicago area and they also played possum on the possiblity of replacing just the electric motor and wanted to sell me the assembly again at $400.00.

Thank god a great site like this with a vast knowledge base is available.
