As I posted in the other thread, you can use the cheap Chinese bumper if you take an angle cut off the bottoms of the corner finishers with a bandsaw. It's a pretty decent piece for the money other than this glaring error.

Appreciate the input! I already boxed it up yesterday and sent it back. Kept telling my friend who was helping with the install that something had to be defective. The price difference wasn’t too far off from the others. This one was $400 or so, I think AB is an extra 100-150.

AB isn’t much better…maybe it’s just my truck.

Looks like they are selling the same thing from the same Chinese manufacturer.

@TXDisco check your underlying mounts for damage that is way out - mine is a tad out but nowhere near that.

It's not the mounts. Look at the bumper. The "arms" that go around the corners should be flat and level with the main body of the bumper. Those don't -- they are angled upwards.

i cringed a bit when opening the box and seeing that. Was pretty disappointed. There’s no reason for them to be angled upwards in any way, but figured I’d give it a shot regardless since it was here

Here’s a straighter shot of the sides. If they weren’t angled upwards, it would be fine

Just talked to someone at Atlantic British. They said this happens every so often. Bumpers get made out of spec, and they are unable to open boxes prior to shipping them out to verify that the bumper is correct. The only solution is to return and re-order, roll the dice again.

One would think there would be a way to verify quality control before sending the product out. Seems like this can happen with every steel bumper.
