Authentic Kalahari?

Authentic Kalahari?
Hi All,
I am considering buying a Discovery II and I found a 2002 that is yellow that caught my attention. After some research, it appears that it might be a Kalahari edition.
Here is the link to the truck: 2002 Land Rover Discovery SE-2 Yellow SUV
The color, racks, and wheels make me believe it may be a Kalahari, but I have not been able to find any others with a black/yellow interior and I also noticed that the truck does not have a rear ladder.
Since you guys are the experts, I figured I ask your collective opinion...do you think it is a Kalahari Edition, and if so is there anything I should be looking for when in person?
Thanks in advance for the help! Looking forward to my first Land Rover purchase.

That yellow on the interior isn't stock, but otherwise looks authentic to me. Have him pop the hood and take a picture, there should be a "Special Vehicles" placard riveted to the radiator shroud.
The ladder could have been rusted and removed...
Also the $1500 U-joint job can be done in your garage for $200, or replaced for under $500 max....but don't tell him that

look legit to me i also have one. there should also be a special vehicals badge on the rear hatch lower right. there realy is no differance in performance. the only thing the kalahari has differant is for looks i love mine they are head turners. but they dont have CDL is the only down side...

that truck looks great. there is one parked across the street from me most the time. the safari grill is really nice too.
but,
the brush guards are crappy. i can't remember if there are any other "safari" hard bits.
it has no cdl if you care
its yellow. not everyones cup of tea. the black out looks good. (hey some guys hate black.)

Thank you all so much for your help! I checked out the Rover and it was definitely an authentic Kalahari. The ladder was missing and the seats were all recovered, but it had the special vehicles badges and everything else checked out.
Unfortunately, the car had a few more problems than I wanted to get into. Not only did it need the driveshaft replaced, it also had a lot of little issues and things that didn't work how they were supposed to. (i.e. sunroofs leaked, rear windows didn't work, cd changer didn't work)
Ultimately though, the biggest issue were the 3 amigo lights that were all on(which I wasn't aware of before going to look at the car). gRover Cleveland - to be honest, it looks better online than it does in person. Could be a good buy if you were able to get it for significantly less than they are asking.
So, thanks for all the help - the forum is awesome and we ended up making a purchase. We bought a really nice '99 SE7 with only 64k miles on it!

Who is selling the car? The ad says the owner is moving, but then it says "normal hours between 7am-9pm," so it sounds like a dealer. I might throw the guy out an offer seeing as it was listed at the end of May, and maybe he just wants to dump it. Could you give me some more specifics on the condition of the truck?
