Automated carwash safe for Disco?
I recently bought my Discovery and have been wondering it I can take it through the local automated car wash. I'm a bit concerned with the roof rails and the ladder on the back door. Is this safe for the vehicle? Anyone have bad experience with these on this vehicle?

Nope no problem, just be sure to check clearance. Most will fit the disco, but always make sure. One thing to be sure of is to get the brake dust off your wheels, a car wash will not do it and if you dont do it yourself your wheels will start getting worse and worse. After a while it wont come off. Just something you should know!

I thought when he said automated he ment a laser style wash. Those shouldn't have a risk of tearing off the ladders or brush bars correct?
At the same time, I agree with mike on the do-it -yourself. I find I can do a much better job anyways. And I even like to break out the sponge and soap at home during the summer and spring, that does an even better job than a do it yourself powerwash.

can you take a power sprayer right at the engine? I have been trying to figure out how to get the crap out of there

So if you have a D2 go for it, clean everything , it will look some much better afterwards.
