I just wanted to share this, as I'm very happy with the results. I installed the YakAttack might mount and a bunch of Ram Mount stuff and finally got the top of my dash organized. What's cool is I can adjust and rearrange things to my hearts desire. I hope this inspires someone!
fantastic! I've been thinking of something like this but haven't had time to look into it. Thank you! I have a ram suction mount for my ipad mini but it's not solid over night, not a big deal but it's kind of annoying when it falls randomly esp if there's a temp swing while driving.
Nice.....I like the idea if you want to un-install it a new rubber mat piece makes the dash look factory and will cover up the holes.
What are the screws holding on to. Is the underside of the dash have something substantial for the screws to get a good grip? or Did you remove the stereo and there are nuts underneath securing it down?

I used the screws it came with combined with a medium layer of Clear Gorilla Glue. The Glue really helps the strength, and I can tell you it will come off cleanly with no damage to the dash if you ever decide to take it off. I know this as I had used this glue before to hold down a different mount in the same spot. A bit of prying with a trim tool and it came off clean.

I've got a similar setup, but bolted through the dash to a metal plate. Just have to remove the radio to get to the plate.
After just using screws, some of them cracked the plastic under the dash bouncing around.
