Exclamation bad backfires and no power need help!!

driving home from work today disco started to bog down and backfire really badly. recently put new 02 sensors and msd super conductor wires with Bosch +2's and changed all fluids all the routine stuff and its been driving fine but today not so much actually first time a rovers left me stranded

i also have replaced the fuel filter so idk what the deal is maybe electrical? or fuel idk hard to test and troubleshoot on the side of the road in 100 deg. heat

its reading a code 44 and the code inst clearing for some reason so idk if there are underlying codes.

there is a strong backfire inermitantly through the intake and it sound like the left bank but might just be b/c the air box is there?

will not go over 20 mph and not rev higher then 2800 rpm. engine turns over but it take a while and its drops real low and starts to back fire then will usually idle fairly smooth then in drive its useless

please any feedback on what to look for im thinking injectors or fuel pump? maybe ignition issues?

Check around the distribitor for a broken vacuum line, your timing is WAY off, either the distribitor tie down bolt came loose, your vacuum advance is loose/bad/missing or your timing gears jumped a tooth/broke a tooth.
Most likely it is with the distribitor.

Timing being off on load means that the vacuum advance is not working.
If it was fuel starvation it would not back fire it would quit.

Has to be engine timing.
Or bad spark plug wires.
