May the Rover Gods, or some better ones, be with you. Get triple A LOL.

Oh I have 2 D2's and a P38. Plus my Powerstroke. The LandRovers are good local dailys and hobbies. Great for camping. My other half likes to drive my '03 Disco that I got off my neighbor. It just comes with the territory.

I would say the majority of Discos II from 0 to 80,000 miles were owned by soccer moms that never took care of them. They never cared about the oil or the temperature levels. And went extended periods without oil changes because it was a cheap lease. Many were also purchased for use in the harsh (compared to England) Midwest and Northeast and parked outside. It also didn’t help that BMW tried to make a 40 year old engine meet modern emissions. When my truck is all working I really do love my Disco II to death. Nothing is better.

Its like watching the news - nobody talks about good news because nobody is interested in that.
Talking about your issues/fixes etc is kinda the point here

Like most things - outside of Amazon - its hard to gauge the good because those people dont come here posting about it.

I don’t think I’ve ever said anything negative in regards to a LR. I love them inside & out, top to bottom, and I find them a breeze to work on. This Forum is awesome & I honestly only come on here to help others with their issues, or learn new ways to upkeep our LR’s using alternate parts that prolong them or fix a flaw they were born with.

Jeremy Clarkson said it best when he described the Alfa Romeo he was driving in S3 Episode 7. If it was perfect you wouldn’t love it. It has to have a few flaws... I’d say a LR is just like that!
