Default Bad threads causing oil leak?

After a week (new DII purchase) I noticed oil spots in the driveway. It's coming from where the oil pan meets the transmission, there are two long bolts. One of bolts has some funky threads. Arrows in the pic indicate the source of the leak. 1&2 match up with the bolt pics. Why do the threads look like that? Stripped?

Looks more like it's leaking from crosefix seals from back of engine block, rather than the bolt you are talking about,,,,
Check the PCV valve on right hand valve cover , it's all the way back near firewall, if it's clogged poor ventation puts extra pressure on seals & gaskets & sometimes makes them leak prematurely or more than what they would if PVC valve is working right,,
Engine Looks pretty clean from underneath , did engine looked like it was cleaned or washed prior to purchase,?

I don't know what crossfix? seals are. They are between the engine block and ?
I'll wipe it down again and try to determine where the leak is coming from, but it doesn't seem to start any higher than right there. Good tip on the PCV valve, I'll check it.

The whole car is very clean inside and out. I did wipe down the underside to remove the gunk so I could determine the leak source.

Thanks

Look on page 12-2-38 in the RAVE for a picture of where to put extra sealant (black RTV like "the right stuff"). You'll have to drop the oil pan and get a new oil pan gasket as well. Let me know if you need some tips. I just recently did this job on my D2.

As always... First figure out where the leak is coming from

May also be the rear main seal. Pull the rubber plug that is below the starter and see if the ring gear is wet with oil. Don't panic if it is, minor leak is not a problem and you must pull the engine to repair.

So where that insert that the bolt is threaded into and starting to back out doesn't look suspicious to you guys? Obviously something isn't correct as you compare the 2 bolt locations

Bolt does look to be at an angle.

What does a bolt hole in a new oil pan look like? Threaded aluminum? Is there a threaded insert? Looks weird to me, but I'm a noob.
