I have a Disco 2 with the Baja Expedition rack. I am wanting to install the OVS 270 awning to this rack. The brackets that came with the awning apparently will not work.
I understand that bajarack sells an awning bracket but their support team said it wasn’t compatible with the OVS Awning.
Have any of you successfully installed an OVS awning to the expedition rack? And if so how?
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Just This past weekend! I permanently mounted my awning mounts to my rack. It took dry placing a few different layouts before I felt I made something that matched and wouldn’t be in the way if I took it off.
the Original rack is an urban off-road, and I’m using the arb awning - but as Deputy says, a little fab work can make anything attach
For a few weeks, I had a few flat longer pieces of steel, I drilled a few holes, and picked up a few stainless screws from hardware store and clamped my brackets in place. This worked temporary until I pulled rack off and welded these brackets permanently
You can notice my temp pieces began to rust..
