Default ball joints?

Hi, this is my first post. I own a 99 DISCOI with 108K on it. The ball joints on the steering system have cracked and broken rubber. Atlantic British has the joints, so my question is, is this a job I can do in my garage? Do I need any tools, presses, etc?

Ihave no mehcanical training, but so far have replaced the rear brake pads, the transmission cooler lines and all of the radiator hoses. I also do all of the work on my other car and motorcycle.

I have never doen steering before, and I know if I goof it up, bad things can happen (out of control 4000lb truck).

If anyone has performed this repair, your input would be helpful.

Thanks.

I had a bent drag link (front bar) and replaced the whole assembly. I replaced the ball joints on the track rod (rear bar).
Nothing too tricky. Just measure before you start and make sure you end up with the same length when you are done. Might call the dealer and price the whole assembly, that way you get new clamps and everything. Save the old bar for when you bend one up offroad. It was cheaper that way for me....

Might rent a tie rod puller from autozone to pop them off, and replace the steering stabiliser while you are at it..

You can do it.
How about your steering stabilizer, if it hasn't been replaced yet, go for it.
