hey there guys.. i've been searching for days and hours now. i tried searching but no real luck on my topic. Originally, my rover(2003 disovery2) had a check engine light for bank1 sensor1, i peeked at the sensor and crawled underneath it, wiggled the connector and it was fairly loose. I tried tugging on the connectors if maybe it wasn't all the way connected (shouldn't be loose because no work has been done with them recently). Long and be hold, the small plastic locking pins that locks the wiring into the connector was all broken but one. Maybe have gotten brittle with the heat and just simply cracked off causing my connection to be loose/lost.

After calling dealer(not cheap) and wrecking yard, i found a whole top engine harness for $50 shipped to my door. Now my issue is, which color coded wires goes to where.?!? The pig tail cut from the engine harness i got from the wrecking yard is a different wiring colors than the ones on the vehicle. I was told from the auto wrecker guy that its the same make and model year as mine before ordering, i was even sent pictures of the vehicle the harness came from.

i tried the FSM to pin-point the wiring locations but no luck, i need to know which wires goes where on the female connector. i will still be searching while waiting on any replies here.

----from the vehicle: (red w/ black strip)(white w/ orange strip)(brown w/ white strip)(solid orange)

----the replacement pigtail: (solid black)(x2 green w/ yellow strip)(green w/ brown strip)

i guess people are reading or looking but no response hmm.. ? btw, im waiting on a call back from a dealer of possibly a diagram for my issue..

 

IM PaulMC he probably has the connectors. He is across the pond, but really knows his electrical on the D2. Also sales all kinds of connectors.

Anyway you can download the RAVE and the electrical library. It will have all the wiring diagrams.

I'll send links later. My server is having issues.

 

Thank you for your response ralphobell, but i have the connector already. I just need to know which wires go to where on the connector plug. I will waiting for the link when you get a chance to link it. thanks.

thanks ralphobell.!! i just have to search the section and hope the manual is good and clear on the wiring chart/diagram. BTW, The dealer called be back earlier and couldn't find anything. Im sure they can but either dont want to or dont know how to find it..



Electrical library looks pretty kOol and awesome but so far, no luck in what im looking for.. im going through from top to bottom to possibly spot what im looking or, since table of content doesn't show what im looking for.
