Default Battery Size and Compatibility

Would a battery that fit in a D1 be compatible with my 04 D2? I know very well that the D2 has more electronics on board but just figured I would ask. I need a new battery for my D2 but I do have a spare Duralast Gold battery taken from my former D1 thats been sitting outside for over a year. It MAY still be good and Im going to have autozone super charge it and test it to see if its good or not. If its good and compatible then I could say $119 and just throw it in my D2 and be on my way!

Just check the group size on both batteries and see if they are the same. Or check the dimensions on them and see if it will fit. Positive and negative line up, you know the drill. Odds are that it should work out fine, if the battery is any good.

Out of curiosity what exactly is a "Super Charge" are they hooking it to a nuclear reactor?

I did not think it would be that simple. I assumed that batteries were designed to handle or provide a specific amount of voltage depending on the needs of the vehicle etc. But I will measure it tomorrow and see how it looks.

As for "super charge" I'm not really sure. I mentioned my spare battery to a representative at Autozone and explained that its been sitting outside under a tarp for over a year and he said "oh thats no problem we can just super charge it and see if its any good, all our services are free... etc". Maybe something they have for charging dormant batteries? lol
