Default RE: Battery Time,, Now Which One?????????

I replaced my battery about a year ago with an Optima Red, the first one failed within a month because of an internal short and I replaced with the same and haven't had any issues yet.

Cost is relative, I want a battery that won't leave me stuck
with a 30 mile walk. I do backpack but walking for help is not fun.
I wish I could have another truck with me but it doesn't happen all the time.

The Optima Red Top has the best coverage of the Optima's.
The Yellow has the least.
I thinking about the Sears battery,, Nation wide Sears Stores.

For me a battery is not just about starting the truck.
I had Dual batterys in my last 4x4, and as soon as I find a way to do it in my Disco I most likely will.
First of all, a Red Top will not stand up to a winch. I originally put dual Red's in my D2 and fried them after 2 years, went to dual Yellow's and with the duals, I can out pull larger winches then my Warn 9500HSI just because of the extra amps.

My Red Top has worked for 6 years I have been happy with it,,, But its been six
years,, batterys should have gotten better so Why not Look for Better Batterys ??
