Ideally you want a Group 34 with a big reserve and a lot of CCAs for your cold winter temps and drain from accessories. The X2Power SLI24AGMDP, with 840CCA available at Batteries Plus is a good choice, as is the NAPA premium model 983478, with 775 CCA. The NAPA is made in the US by East Penn.

My battery (Costco) is just two and a half years old and already shows signs of weakness. Leaving the car parked for 8 days due to Covid drains the battery to a point that the engine barely turns over at first start (I checked the current drain, it is within spec, can be self discharge only). Next time I will go with an AGM battery.

My battery died and I just went to the nearest auto parts shop and got the higher-CCA version of their in-house brand. Was about $150 after the core.

I run an odyessy PCMJT1200. Even with that, my truck tends to sit for days and eve weeks in nicer weather as I use the Abarth for my normal day to day running around. I ran a line from the interior of the landy to the battery to plug in a small solar trickle charger. It seems to be doing the job of keeping her ready to do at a moment's notice.

Can be parasitic drain inside the battery only. As I wrote, I checked the current at the battery terminals with hood closed (tampered switch). After 30 mins or so, the current draw goes down as expected. I don't remember the exact value, but it was within spec.

I'm no expert about this but I remember reading here a few years ago that almost all automotive batteries sold in the U.S. are made by only 2-3 manufacturers and labeled for the many dozen sellers. I don't know whether or not that's true, and different brands can carry different manufacturing specs.
Given that, a few years ago I went to using the EverStart Maxx sold by Walmart in all my vehicles. My use brings no special demands so they're fine for me. They have a 3-yr full replacement, 5-yr. pro-rated warranty, and because of how ubiquitous Walmart is in the U.S. there's likely to be a Walmart not too far away if I need a warranty replacement.
I use the Group 34 EverStart Maxx in my DII. It's rated at 800 CCA. A Group 34 battery is shorter than what the DII battery box and negative cable were designed to accommodate, so a ~1-inch spacer is required under the battery to bring it up to the required level. Some G34s are sold with a spacer for just this reason; I just use a short length of 1x6 lumber under the battery. Works fine.
