SOmetimes my horn works fine, sometimes I can only get one beep out of it per start and most times it doesen't work at all.
What are the most common solutions?

I had a short in mine. I eventually got one of the horns hard wired. Only one works but at least it passes inspection.

Its pretty common to find a short in the horn wiring. Especially if you have ever powerwashed your engine. Test the horn by itself using the battery and see if it works fine by itself. If it does, the deeper wiring or something else may be the issue.

Or just move down south where we don't use horns!

Where is the horn assembly located? Passenger side - front of the engine compartment?

My horn sucks. It sounds like I should be driving a neon; they way this thing sounds. I want to see if there is maybe only one of two horns working.

Sorry to thread jack.

The horns are behind the front grill, and are encased in some foam. If I remember right, you have to remove some of the shielding directing air into the radiator to access the bolts/nuts.

Coors: You probably only have the high note horn working. There are two. When I got mine, neither were working, and so I bought just the high note replacement to save money. Upon hearing it by itself convinced me to get the other one so my mighty Landy wouldn't sound like a stupid Geo Metro's, "meep meep."
