Look at pic 68 and 265 of that BaT auction. They suggest something happened to that truck. Perhaps minor but the bent/crushed panhard rod mount is pretty robust.

I am in awe. Beyond jealous. Every time I clean the underside of my vehicle, a new leak pops up. Or in the case of my wheel well, a leaky axle shaft seal spun about half a quart of oil all over the tire, wheel well, and pretty much everywhere else.

Maybe one of you has time for this project? 2004 Land Rover Discovery 66k Original Miles First $5000 takes it | Expedition Portal

04 with ~67k miles but originally from PA so there was more rust on the underbody components and frame than I wanted to treat. Also there was rusty bubbling/cracking in the paint on the roof behind the front sunroof and the roof drains were leaking badly so the headliner needs to be replaced and who knows what else might be hiding up there. Speaking of...a mouse made its home in the HVAC system at some point and when you turn on the blower it smells horrible so that needs deep cleaning and the AC doesn't work. Truck was re-painted by some amateur (obvious lack of prep), the rear bumper is broken and missing the turn/reverse lights and there is quite bit of missing exterior plastic trim. The good stuff is that the engine seemed to run well, no overheating or major fluid leaks, brakes work, low range works, suspension seems solid and the interior trim, seats, etc looked great.

No rear AC and I can’t see if it has ACE. I don’t care about miles, at that price, little things like the battery cover should be in place.

Neither is an example I’d look at as rear AC, airbags, and if pre-facelift, ACE are hard requirements for me. Man I really screwed up in selling my ‘00…

My black D2 has wood trim inside, but no front heated seats. The center console wood plate doesn't have the cut outs for it, and I don't feel like drilling into them to add switches. No ACE rear AC or rear air bags either. Someone a while back set it was a special edition type thing but I don't remember which one or if it was true.
