Default Best brakes for the price

Hello all. So after a few weeks of enjoying the new massage chairs that my truck has, I have decided to replace my brakes and rotors. Just wanted to see opinions. I was going to just buy wearever rotors and pads through Advance Auto because I can get the complete set for around 215 (all 4 rotors and pads). I have had EBC slotted and drilled rotors with there Green Stuff pads in the past, and I didn't noticed a difference between those and economy stuff. Any ideas? I dont do any real wheeling and I pull a small boat about 4 times a year. Just looking for the cheapest yet safe bet.

I purchased Bosch Rotors, and Akebeno ceramic pads. Braking improved after flush and install. Best part of the ceramic pads is little to no brake dust!

Upgrade your brake lines to stainless steel and you should see a great improvement in breaking.

Off topic, I have to know. How did you get the massage into the seats? I want to do this pretty badly.

btw- what's with the SS brake lines? where do they run from / to? improved performance worth the cost, or mostly a cosmetic?

Ermm...I'm sure he's referring to the awful vibration he's getting from shoddy brakes. You could also run an out-of-round tire.

Not for cosmetics, but The real reason for SS braided lines is that the rubber lines expands slightly under pressure while the braided SS covered Teflon lines do not. What this means to you as a driver is that your brakes will be firmer when you press the brake pedal. The master cylinder will not have to pump additional fluid because of expanded lines.

more specifically, do the SS lines run from the ABS modulator all the way out to the brakes at each wheel?
