just had couple of questions. I know other makes have after market products to get more performance out of there vehicles. i.e. chips, exhaust, intake etc. I found this site and want to know if it is legit?

not sure what you drive as its not in your signature. personally i wouldnt waste money on any Item that claims to change any settings or performance I think it’s a waste. What gas mileage are you getting now? When was the last time you changed your o2’s? when your truck is rated at 17mpg then expect to get 17mpg and not 28. That’s how I look at it and that’s why I have a second car to get my broke a$$ to work every day.

A lot of folks will say this is rubbish but I installed a Volo FS1 chip a while back ( http://yhst-19807630266082.stores.ya...aver--fs1.html ) and I have gotten roughly 50-60 extra miles out of each tank, which in the scheme of things isn't a huge number, but every little bit counts. It looks like there is a newer version of the chip out now, might even do better than the version I have.

If you are getting worse than normal mileage check all the normal stuff : air filter, tire pressure, plugs, wires, O2's.

Are you running synthetic oil? Premium fuel? Have you done an induction and throttle body cleaning? Mike's 60K Service?

What year, octane and mileage is on your truck, what is the tune up history and what have you tried so far to gain better mileage?

thanks for the replies,
I'll figure out how to put what I drive in my signature. fairly new to this forum. I drive 2003 diso II, has 126k on it. just after purchasing it a few years ago had new plugs and wires put on it. in the same service had an o2 sensor go out and had that put in as well(couldn't tell you which side though). change the oil regularly. as well as the air filter. use premium and mid grade fuel(switch between the two).

you must use 91+ octane and you should replace the other o2 sensor. what plugs and wires did you put in?

At your mileage, you first need to have all 4 02's replaced, not just one. Do you have and fault codes, if so what are they?
What about all the other, overly important items that should also have been done as part of a major service, read my list.
Have you had anyone rebuild or replace the front drive shaft to prevent it from failing and taking out your tranny in the process?
