Default Best Place to Order Parts

Over time I've ordered from Atlantic British, Lucky8, LR direct, and Rover's North. All of them varying part prices, shipping time, parts quality, shipping quality, website design/ease of use, and varying levels of customer support (imo). I know shipping times and total price are highly dependent on your location not only in the US but abroad. Ex ~6-9% sales tax in my region (CA's Central Valley and the Bay Area) and usually 1-4 days free or cheapest shipping for me. Parts quality from my understanding isn't directly their responsibility, as there's some $hitty part producers and overall trend in parts quality. But where I've seen the biggest differences is in website design/ease of use, listed price (before tax+shipping), shipping quality (how well the parts are packed and if there's damage), and customer support. Now I've learned of a new one (FCP Euro), and been experimenting/heard of people using Amazon for parts.

My question is, where do y'all usually get parts? Any better worse place to order from? any new ones beyond the ones I've listed? I usually check theses places and shipping but wanted to know if there's more out there!

I also wanted to compile a list of places you can order parts (not in order of quality, price, or any other measurement). Just to shop around! (I don't promote/condone/or get money from/with these companies in any way).

List as of March 2025

I’m in Canada and I don’t use the US suppliers often, as the cross border fees make the prices soar. I use UK suppliers mostly, LR Direct (which you already listed) is one. Also Paddock Spares, Rimmer Brothers and Island 4x4. I’ve been really happy with the service from any of them, and except for very heavy or bulky items the shipping cost is lower and faster than from the US.

I use the usual suspects you have listed. I would add British Parts of Utah. If you want to see a good website BPU still has the old one up. They also sell on Ebay and usually include shipping. Being in the Midwest they get parts rather quick to me. I would also include Autohausaz. They don't carry the inventory like the big guys but you can find some specialty items. I just ordered new radius arm bushings from them and took less than a week.

Thanks for all the above! Hard to beat Rock Auto for selection and price, just choose wisely.

Don’t forget the breakers like TheRoverGuy and Goldwing. Great support and fantastic quality used parts.

I believe my very large independent LR repair facility gets a lot of their parts through Eurospare

My first stop is always Atlantic British. Being in central CA, shipping from their LA warehouse usually means getting what I need in just a couple days. Their CS is fantastic too.

Second is usually BPU. He can usually get anything I can’t find at AB and also ships fast.

Third is eBay for obscure parts.

FCP Euro has a life time warranty on everything, including oil. I have never done it, but apparently you can send back used oil and filters for a refund. I use for MB, Porsche, and Range Rover parts. Great experience, I often get the parts next day.
Otherwise, I try to support the shops that support the board, Lucky 8.

Rock Auto has lots of budget parts, but if you are not looking for the cheapest part, there are better places.

I almost always use Atlantic British. If they don't have it, my second choice is Rover's North. Both have great customer service, and I've never been disappointed with either one.

Great people, all round.

There is no best place. Buy the parts at the best price you can find. The quality of OEM parts is so low, that buying from any brand gets you just-as-good quality, or maybe slightly better.

Except maybe Lucky8, they don't even know what they shipped you half the time.
