Moving to Turkey and they require 1/2" tread depth to pass inspection.

Don't have a lift kit...don't plan on one for a while. Willing to go slightly larger (30") if it means a better tire is available. So far I've only found the following:

General Grabber AT 2
Nitto Terra Grippler
Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2
Toyo Open Country AT & AT II

They're all $170-240 per tire. I'd like to do better than that as I need 5. If not, which one is actually worth the coin?

 

Just found a Hankook Dynapro ATM/RF10 for $154/tire. Only 2 reviews but they're both 5/5 stars on simpletire.com. Anyone else tried these? They're 255/60/R18.

 

I've used the Dynapro AT's, and I can confidently say they are a great tire, if you pick them up you will not be disappointed.

 

Yes Dynapro. I had a set. couldn't get them last time I had to have tires. Wish I would have waited. Will 255/60/R18 fit ok without a lift? They are very capable

I had terra grapplers on my last truck, wore well and very little road noise for a somewhat aggressive tread.

 

I have terra grapplers right now on my D2. I've rotated them one time about 35k miles ago and they now have 50k on them. Just took a tread depth measurement and it appears I'm going to get atleast 20k more miles out of them which stinks because I have a lift in my garage that I'm waiting to put on when I can justify buying new tires. Couldn't be happier with them honestly. They are 255/60/18 and have no rubbing issues.

 

I have been looking at Cooper Discoverer CTS, around $140-$150 per. Seems to have good reviews.

 

The Cooper CTS isn't aggressive enough for me. ATs are a good all around tire and compromise for what I want to do. So far the Dynapro's, if for no other reason than price are in the lead.

 

I am using the Toyo Open Country AT IIs 255/55R18. Relatively quiet on the highway and still aggressive enough for the occasional off-roading.

 

I just replaced Toyo Open Country A/Ts the other day. The Open Country's were GREAT tires! Quiet, good tread life, good traction, etc...
