Default Best way to run new radio ground

So there has been an annoying hiss assosiated with the radio when the engine is running, figured it to be a bad ground.. Lived with it for a year and it has now gotten much worse, now it hums with the radio on and the key in the aux position, not just when it's running

any one shed any light on the best way to get to the back of the radio to run a new ground wire?

I just had the same problem. But I have an aftermarket stereo so I had the key to slide the radio out the chassis without taking anything apart.

If you do get it out,or behind it, I found there is nowhere to ground it to behind the radio and had to run a wire behind the flip down panel on the drivers side, under the steering column.

yes either there or straight down to the transmission hump, just make sure you scratch the paint real well. as for the stock radio you need a small 5 sided allen key

its a standard allen wrench, just get a cheap set somewhere and it is one of the small ones (not sure if it is SAE or metric)
