Default Beyond frustrated with a/c system

I duno where to look next. This is what I've done to the A/C system on my 2003 Disco:

~replaced frozen condensor fan
~replaced leaking condensor
~had system vaccuumed
~HAD system professionaly charged

The mechanic doesn't know where to look next as we can't figure out the problem. We can't get cold air out of it...although one of his guys claims that he had it blowing cold air.

He revaccuumed it before I left the garage and didn't charge me anything for the work he did on it. It's leaking down a little...but not too bad.

I put some leak sealer/dye in it and it noticed a leak around one of the O rings on the compressor but it seemed to seal it...at least I hope it did, I paid $25 for the small can and that was what it was suppose to do.

I also replaced the valves on both the HIGH and LOW port sides.

Can I open the system up and blow compressed air through it to see if there is a clog some where?

Any other thoughts here? Where should I look next?

I can hear and feel the doors inside switching between the heat and cold....

Thanks again,
STUMPED

You get good air flow inside the cabin?

yes....

I did just take the drier off....now sure what it is suppose to be like, but I put the air compressor on it and air flows through ok. If I look in it, I can see 3 or 4 holes and they appear to be clogged AND if I shake it, there seems to be sand? in it. Is this normal and will this cause problems? I am holding pressure on the high side with NO problems. I did put some stuff in it, about 18oz in the low side and there wasn't much pressure in it. I know I need an O ring there.

First, don't open the system and blow it out, you will have to flush the whole system out if you do that along with a new dryer/filter.
When in the shop, did the mechanic ever get the compressor to come on, was the low pressure line real cold? Did the mechanic verify a plugged up system pre the readings from his gauges, where the readings normal?

The mechanic got normal readings on his system...there was a slight leak down. I did open it back up, there was FULL pressure on the high side and very little on the low.

The clutch is coming back on.

I pulled the drier and shook it, I can hear stuff ratteling around inside. Now the line going to the filter had actually burst. I replaced it...the leak sealer actually plugged up the line where it blew.

If the drier is bad, can that cause my system to not get cold...even if I have the system full?

Yes, if the receivor/dryer is plug it will have to be replaced along with fixing that ever so slow leak.
