BG
Found a local Saturn dealer that sells me BG products at a very reasonable price. I picked up a three pack- 44K, air intake system cleaner and fuel injection system cleaner. I know the 44k is in with the gas. Do the other two go in like a seafoam treatment? I have recently put new gaskets throughout, any concerns related to the treatments?
I also have a 97 Cherokee Sport with almost 200k on it. Still runs like new. Need help on the induction treatment for that as well. I know many of us either still own or have owned Jeeps , so don't flip out on the 'ask' for the Jeep help on the LR forum.

The air intake system cleaner works as an induction cleaner. The fuel injection system cleaner requires air pressure and an additional tool. See the link. http://www.bgprod.com/products/fuelair.html

If you have any questions on how to do the induction cleaning, shout and I'll walk you thru it.
There should be a nipple with a rubber cap on the driver's side of the intake plenum. The best thing to do is to connect a hose to this. The brake booster hose also works too. Using this is a bit different because you can't clamp this hose off completely or the engine will die. Be prepared to see a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust manifold. If it's original, it's almost sure to be cracked where the pipes join. Call Mike if you have no idea how to do it.
So the fuel injection cleaner into the tank then 44k in when I am going to put some miles on it.
Will V. and or Disco MIke - the special tool the only way to get the air intake cleaner into it or can it go in as I would Seafoam? I have done a Seafoam treatment in the past two months.
jkid; are your instructions fro the Cherokee?

Yes, for the Jeep. It's a pretty big nipple, larger than the Disco's. The special tool is only for the fuel injection systemcleaner. It disables the fuelpump and injects the cleaner under pressure. The air intake cleaner should be able to be used with the vacuum like the seafoam. I used seafoam on my Jeep and BG Induction Cleaner on my Disco, any of those should work fine as well as the air intake cleaner, I believe. For some reason it's hard to find the "induction cleaner".
It's a 1/4" nipple sticking straight up from the top of the intake manifold towards the front. The brake booster hose connects to the manifold in the same location only towards the rear of the manifold. It probably makes no difference which one you use. Just don't clamp the brake booster hose off, just dip it in the can a little bit at a time without killing the engine. Heck, maybe inject 1/2 the can into each hose.
BTW, I've done the seafoam and ATF flush in my Disco and Jeep and I'm not sure that I could tell a real big difference afterwards (a good thing really). I did it in an older dodge dakota and the engine ran smoother and was much quieter afterwards, so it can help if it's needed.
